These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between LIFT Events ("we," "us," or "our") and you ("you" or "your"), governing your use of our powerlifting events, including the purchase of competitor tickets and photo/video packages ("Services"). By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms and Conditions

1.1 Agreement to Terms: By using our Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Services.

1.2 Amendments: We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any changes. Your continued use of our Services after any modifications to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

 

2. Tickets and Packages

2.1 Competitor Tickets: Competitor tickets can only be purchased through our website, subject to availability. We offer a 12-day refund period for competitor tickets from the date of purchase. Any refund requests made after the 12-day period are undefendable.

2.2 Photo/Video Packages: Photo and video packages may be available for purchase at our events. We offer a 12-day refund period for photo/video packages purchased a minimum of 12 days before the event date. Any packages bought within 12 days or after the event are undefendable.

3. Competitor Waiver 

3.1 Competition Waiver Agreement: All competitors participating in our powerlifting events must sign a Competitor Waiver Agreement on the day of the competition. The Competition Waver is a legally binding document that outlines the terms and conditions of your participation in the event, including liability waivers and other important information.

3.2 Acknowledgment of Risks: By signing the Competition Waiver, you acknowledge that powerlifting is a physically demanding sport and involves inherent risks. You agree to assume all risks associated with your participation in our events.

3.3 Release of Liability: You release LIFT Events, its organizers, staff, sponsors, and affiliates from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or any other claims arising from your participation in our events.

 

4. Refunds

4.1 Refund Policy for Competitor Tickets: We offer a 12-day refund period for competitor tickets from the date of purchase. Refunds will be considered valid only within this 12-day period. After the 12-day period, no refunds will be provided for competitor tickets.

4.2 Refund Policy for Photo/Video Packages: We offer a 12-day refund period for photo/video packages purchased a minimum of 12 days before the event date. Any packages bought within 12 days or after the event are undefendable.

4.3 Refund Exception for Photo/Video Packages due to Inability to Attend: If you have purchased a photo/video package but are unable to attend the event, we will provide a full refund regardless of the purchase date.

4.4 Event Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation of our powerlifting event, we will provide information regarding refunds or rescheduled dates, if applicable, through our website and communication channels. The refund policies outlined in sections 4.1 and 4.2 do not apply to event cancellations, as refunds related to event cancellations will be handled separately in accordance with the information provided.

 

5. Code of Conduct

5.1 Behaviour: You agree to conduct yourself in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner during our events. Any disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may result in your disqualification from the event without a refund.

 

6. Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy, available on our website, governs the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. By using our Services, you consent to our Privacy Policy.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales .
